The City of Philadelphia, Division of Aviation staff and their consultants hosted a series of open-house community workshops that provided the opportunity for the public, and other interested parties, to share their perspective and suggestions about noise mitigation alternatives, and to submit comments that will become part of the final study. To date, three sets of community workshops have been conducted at locations around Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware. The first round of workshops was held in November 2007. The second round of workshops was held in June 2008. The third round was held in August and September of 2010. Feedback receved from attendees was positive. Participants at these workshops submitted several suggestions to the study team regarding noise abatement, land use management, and program management measures that will be considered in the analysis.
